The game introduces three new Mega Evolutions with previously unseen abilities: Mega Meganium’s Mega Sol ability treats weather as perpetual harsh sunlight, Mega Emboar carries Mold Breaker to bypass opponent abilities, and Mega Feraligatr’s Dragonize converts Normal-type moves to Dragon-type with a 20% power boost. GameSpot awarded the game 7 out of 10, praising its ambition to bring competitive battling to a wider audience while criticizing its failure to explain its own systems adequately.
