Overview

Anker held its annual Anker Day event on May 21, 2026, at a venue called STORIED in New York City, where the company unveiled a range of new products across its Soundcore, eufy, SOLIX, and Nebula brands. The centerpiece announcement was the Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro and Liberty 5 Pro Max, the first earbuds powered by Anker’s proprietary THUS™ AI chip — the company’s first in-house silicon platform — along with VibeOS, a new software ecosystem designed to connect listening, productivity, and daily health tracking across Soundcore devices.

The THUS™ AI Chip

Anker’s move into custom silicon is designed to move audio intelligence off the cloud and onto the device itself. The THUS chip is built on a Compute-in-Memory (CIM) architecture that, according to Gizmochina, “combines processing and memory into a single unit” so that “instead of moving data between separate components, it processes data where it is stored.” Anker claims the chip delivers “up to 150× more AI computing power” compared to its earlier audio products.

The on-device approach means features like noise cancellation and voice enhancement can work faster without relying on cloud processing, Gizmochina reported, while also improving privacy and ensuring more stable performance across different environments. Anker has said it plans to expand the THUS chip beyond audio products into mobile accessories and other smart devices.

Liberty 5 Pro and Liberty 5 Pro Max

The Liberty 5 Pro is priced at $169.99 and the Liberty 5 Pro Max at $229.99, per the official press release. Both models went on sale immediately on May 21 via Amazon.com, Soundcore.com, and BestBuy.com.

The headline feature on both models is Whisper Clear Calls, which uses a neural-net AI model running on the THUS chip and a 10-sensor array to capture voice clearly even in noisy environments. The Liberty 5 Pro earned a Guinness World Records certification — awarded in April 2026 — for the “highest speech quality score (G-MOS) for TWS earbuds (objective test),” according to the press release.

Beyond calls, the earbuds support Adaptive ANC 4.0, Dolby Atmos spatial audio, Bluetooth 6.1 with multipoint connectivity, and IP55 water resistance. Battery life is 6.5 hours per charge with ANC enabled, extending to 28 hours with the charging case, as reported by Let’s Data Science.

The two models diverge in their case designs. The standard Liberty 5 Pro ships with a 0.96-inch LCD touchscreen on the exterior of the case, while the Pro Max steps up to a 1.78-inch AMOLED display and adds case-based microphones that enable on-case meeting recording with an AI note-taking function, according to Let’s Data Science and the official press release.

VibeOS: The Software Layer

Alongside the hardware, Anker introduced VibeOS — described in the press release as “an AI-powered experience platform that connects listening, work and daily life across Soundcore products” — enabling users to “personalize sound, capture and organize information, review sleep insights.” VibeOS replaces Soundcore’s previous companion app interface and is intended to serve as a unified hub for the brand’s growing product range.

What We Don’t Know

Anker has not disclosed the specific process node or manufacturer behind the THUS chip. The company’s claim of “up to 150× more AI computing power” is framed as a comparison against its “earlier audio products” without naming a specific baseline model or providing third-party benchmark data. Independent audio reviewers had not published comparative assessments of call quality or noise cancellation performance as of publication.

Anker also has not provided a timeline for which additional product categories — beyond earbuds — will receive THUS chip integration, nor has it confirmed pricing for markets outside the United States.

Other Announcements

The Anker Day 2026 event also featured the Soundcore Nebula SpaceFlow, an AI-powered spatial mapping accessory for the Nebula X1 and X1 Pro projectors priced at $799 (with a launch price of $399), as well as the Anker SOLIX S2000 portable power station and several eufy home and health products. The THUS chip was not mentioned in connection with those categories at the event.
