ClickHouse Acquires RunReveal to Bring Security Analytics In-House
ClickHouse acquired security data platform RunReveal, folding in-house the expertise behind a product already built on its own database.

ClickHouse has acquired RunReveal, a security data platform, according to a ClickHouse blog post published September 1, 2026. RunReveal had already built its security data platform on ClickHouse before the acquisition, according to IT Brief Australia.
What We Know
ClickHouse frames security as, in its own words, “the largest and fastest growing data workload in the enterprise,” and says the acquisition brings RunReveal’s security-data expertise in-house. The company describes the workload RunReveal specializes in as spanning “cloud audit logs, identity events, endpoint telemetry, network flows,” data that demands “continuous high-throughput ingest, retention measured in years, and queries that have to return while an analyst is still looking at the screen.”
According to ClickHouse, “RunReveal chose ClickHouse for the same reasons” that other cybersecurity vendors build on the database: storage efficiency and query speed at scale. ClickHouse says it has become a common foundation for “anti-fraud, real-time detection engines, data-loss prevention, and threat intelligence engines,” built by companies other than RunReveal.
For RunReveal’s existing customers, ClickHouse says little changes day to day. The product remains available under a bring-your-own-database model that keeps security data inside a ClickHouse cluster the customer controls, and existing contract terms and support arrangements are unchanged, a continuity confirmed independently by IT Brief Australia. ClickHouse itself describes the deal as “an acceleration, not a disruption.”
ClickHouse also pointed to RunReveal’s work on automated, agent-driven security investigations as a reason for the deal, describing tools that “hunt across sources, propose and tune detections, and carry an investigation toward a conclusion” as “some of the most interesting we have seen built on ClickHouse.” The company says it expects that work to shape how it supports “agentic analytics across the platform, for our own products and for the companies building theirs on top of us.”
ClickHouse is an open-source columnar database used for real-time analytics and large-scale data processing, serving customers across sectors including automotive, healthcare, retail and artificial intelligence, according to IT Brief Australia.
What We Don’t Know
Neither ClickHouse nor IT Brief Australia disclosed financial terms of the acquisition, RunReveal’s headcount, or its revenue. ClickHouse’s post does not name RunReveal’s founders or executives, and no dollar figure for the deal has been independently confirmed.
