Vietnam's Vingroup Enters the Humanoid Race With Two Robots: VinDynamics' Dyno Service Bot and VinRobotics' VR-H3 Factory Robot
Two Vingroup subsidiaries debuted humanoid robots at ICRA 2026 and Computex Taipei, marking Vietnam's entry into a field led by US and Chinese firms.

Dyno, the service robot
VinDynamics is described as “a technology company under Vingroup, dedicated to the research, development, and manufacturing of advanced robotics and automation solutions, particularly in the field of humanoid robots,” according to RoboticsTomorrow. The company positioned Dyno as “an intelligent humanoid robot designed to serve as a versatile assistant for modern living environments,” pairing an AI platform with an environmental-sensing system aimed at security and surveillance across urban areas, campuses, and service complexes.
Dyno was previously piloted at Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc, where it acted as a multilingual robotic guide demonstrating natural communication, narration, and the ability to respond to visitors’ questions, per RoboticsTomorrow. Alongside the fully integrated robot, the company also showcased a dedicated AI training dataset optimized for real-world scenarios.
“The introduction of Dyno at ICRA 2026 and Computex 2026 is not only an important milestone for VinDynamics but also reflects the aspirations of Vietnamese engineers to contribute to one of today’s most advanced technology fields,” said La Manh Hung, Chairman of VinDynamics, according to RoboticsTomorrow.
VR-H3, the industrial robot
VinRobotics, also a technology company under Vingroup, was founded in November 2024 and presented the VR-H3 as its third-generation humanoid, according to RoboticsTomorrow. The robot is equipped with more than 31 actuators and two onboard edge computers, and can lift payloads of 6 to 8 kilograms, transport materials, and perform assembly tasks in real-world settings, as reported by Interesting Engineering.
VinRobotics says all key technologies were developed in-house, including the robot’s mechanical architecture, real-time computing and communication infrastructure, electrical and electronic (E/E) architecture, power distribution platform, battery management system, and full-body AI control framework, according to Interesting Engineering. At ICRA, the company demonstrated remote operation of the VR-H3 using motion-capture technology integrated into a virtual reality headset, requiring no external trackers, per VOV.
“Bringing VR-H3 to international technology forums is…an opportunity for VinRobotics to showcase the capabilities of Vietnamese engineers,” said Ngo Quoc Hung, Chief Executive Officer of VinRobotics, according to RoboticsTomorrow. VinRobotics also said it plans to gradually open-source selected robotics technologies to contribute to global research collaboration, according to VOV.
