AMD has extended its FSR 4.1 machine-learning upscaler to last-generation Radeon graphics cards. The company released its Adrenalin 26.6.2 driver on June 22, 2026, adding official FSR 4.1 support for Radeon RX 7000 series GPUs built on the RDNA 3 architecture, according to TweakTown. AMD has now launched FSR Upscaling 4.1 for the older Radeon RX 7000 series, which is based on the company’s RDNA 3 architecture, PCWorld reported.
The rollout arrived ahead of schedule. AMD had originally targeted a July window, and the driver landed at least eight days early, according to TweakTown. The expansion is not complete, however: the update ports only the upscaling portion of FSR 4.1 to RDNA 3, while frame generation remains an RDNA 4 exclusive feature, TweakTown reported.
